Operations Executive (Climb Central)

Job Summary:

Operations Executives will assist in managing ground operations and maintenance of the gyms facilities. You will be rotating between shifts at all Climb Central outlets (Sports Hub, Novena, Funan, Katong & Chua Chu Kang [Opening in 2023]).

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer & Staff Management 

    1. To build positive relationship and value-add to customers’ overall climbing experience by establishing customer engagement and upselling membership packages.

    2. To maintain the gyms in a clean, tidy and safe condition to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness and achieve customer experience and business goals.

    3. To guide, train and mentor Crew to deliver exemplary customer service to achieve repeat customers and be a role model for all Crew by embracing the operational values.

  2. Facility Management, Safety & Maintenance

    • To perform daily basic maintenance/housekeeping checks including cleanliness, tidiness and safety of all areas including gym floor, service counter, locker rooms and office.

    • To co-ordinate with Marketing and Programmes Teams to run programmes and marketing campaigns.

  3. Floor Operations

    • To serve as Duty Officer to value add to overall climbing experience and ensure customers’ and staff’s safety and service standards respectively

    • Verification – To conduct top rope and lead verification based on the Climbing Wall Association (CWA) standards

Requirements:

  1. Expected Areas of Competence / Soft Skils

    • Familiarity with Climb Centrals products, such as knowledge of the various passes and memberships

    • Tidy and organised disposition

    • Competent in spoken and written English 

    • “Can do” attitude

    • Highly motivated and ability to work independently

    • Good time management/planning skills

  2. Education / Prior Experience

    • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Leisure Management, Sports Education

    • Past experience in sports, customer service, maintenance/housekeeping

    • Minimum one year experience in customer service

    • Prior climbing experience preferred but not essential

Working Hours:

Monday – Sunday and Public Holidays (5-day work week, 2 days off)

8.5 paid hours and 1-hour non-paid break
