Part-Time Programme Instructor

We are seeking energetic, passionate individuals to join our team as Part-time Programme Instructors. This role involves conducting guided programmes to diverse groups of participants and teaching them the use of our facility equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a love for climbing and a drive to inspire others.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Programmes: Execute guided programmes for participants aged 5 years and above. Current programmes include Birthday Parties, Basic Instinct, and Ape Index Club.

  • Equipment Briefings: Educate participants on the correct use of our climbing facilities and safety equipment. This includes instructions for a 4-step belay on top rope, clipping steps for auto-belay, coming off the bouldering wall, ensuring overall safety.

  • Guidance: Assist participants on the wall, using laser pointers to direct them towards the appropriate holds to grab or step on.

  • Group Management: Efficiently manage participants groups during the programme, ensuring a positive and safe experience for all involved.

  • Career Progression: Undergo initial training, followed by On-The-Job Training (OJT), assisting in roles (Assistant Instructor) before transitioning to leading roles (Lead Instructor).

Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 17 years old

  • Climbing ability: Best 2-pie (6A), minimum 1-pie

  • Availability: Able to work on weekends during the slots of 11am - 1pm, 2pm - 4pm, 5pm - 7pm

  • Characteristics: Vocal, interactive, safety-conscious, and possess leadership qualities
